You'll initially work closely with the wider Account Management team, gaining valuable experience across customer relationships, commercial activity and project coordination. As your knowledge and confidence grow, you'll gradually take ownership of your own portfolio of customer accounts.
This role would suit someone who enjoys building relationships, coordinating projects and working in a fast-paced commercial environment, with the ambition to develop a long-term career in account management.
Your Responsibilities
Working alongside the Account Management team, you'll play an important role in supporting customers and coordinating commercial activity, including:
- Supporting the day-to-day management of customer accounts
- Coordinating new product launches and promotional activity
- Ensuring product information is accurate and up to date across customer platforms
- Building strong customer relationships and developing trusted points of contact
- Handling customer enquiries, quotations and account administration
- Monitoring product and promotional performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Working closely with Marketing, Procurement and Product teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully
- Assisting with customer activity planning and wider commercial initiatives
- Taking increasing ownership of customer accounts as your experience develops
About You
We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, organised and confident building relationships. You should enjoy working in a busy environment, be comfortable managing multiple priorities and have a genuine interest in developing your career within account management.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in account management, sales support, customer service or a commercial support role
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Good analytical skills and a strong eye for detail
- Confidence using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- A proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams
- A genuine ambition to progress within a commercial/account management environment
Essential: Full UK Driving Licence & Own Vehicle
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this position. Occasional travel will be required for customer meetings, events and visits to other business locations.
Experience in FMCG?
Previous experience within FMCG or a product-based business would be advantageous, but it is not essential. What's most important is your commercial awareness, customer focus, organisation and willingness to learn.
Build Your Commercial Career
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that invests in its people. You'll receive the support and experience needed to develop your commercial knowledge, strengthen your customer management skills and progress towards managing your own portfolio of accounts.
Ready to Take the Next Step?
If you're organised, commercially minded and ready to develop your account management career with a growing market leader, we'd love to hear from you.
